Sachi Kobayashi - More than just a Dream

Places that only exist in memory. Feelings that once existed but were forgotten over time. Moments  you know are important but at the same time destined to be lost. Attempts to preserve them are sometimes futile but by no means meaningless. Memories may be altered, lost, or even nonexistent, but unlike places, feelings and moments, it will remain true throughout. So rather than lamenting the  partial loss, cherish its everlasting beauty.

記憶の中にしか存在しない場所。かつて存在していたが時とともに忘れ去られた感情。大切だとわかっていても、失われてしまう運命にある瞬間。それらを保存しようとする試みは、時に無駄になるけれど、決して無意味ではありません。記憶は変化したり、失われたり、あるいはそもそも存在しないかもしれませんが、場所や感情、瞬間とは異なり、ずっと真実のままであり続けるでしょう。だから喪失を嘆くのではなく、その永遠の美しさを大切にしましょう。

Flica - Nocturnal

The evening of a nice day does not call for bright and happy tunes; instead it calls for melancholy, a little tap on the shoulder that tells the excited you to slow down. Slow down because that precious moment is not going to last forever. Slow down in order to embrace the singularity of the moment. Slow down to deeply appreciate the feeling you have right now. The sun will sink, time will turn, and all happiness will meet their end, but there is a lull before that. Take a break and extend that lull, for seemingly forever. 

楽しい一日の終わりには、明るく楽しい曲は相応しくありません。その代わり、メランコリーが必要です。その貴重な瞬間は永遠には続かないのだから、少しゆっくりしましょう。その瞬間の特異性を受け入れるために、ゆっくりとした時間を過ごしましょう。今、自分が感じていることに深く感謝するために、スローダウンするのです。太陽は沈み、時間は回り、すべての幸せは終わりを迎えますが、その前に小康状態があります。その小康状態をまるで永遠と呼べるようなまでに、延長してください。
